Dave is just a college student leading an ordinary life.

Then, a strange man named Balthazar Blake approaches him.

He claims that they are both sorcerers and tells Dave that he needs help fighting the forces of evil.

Understandably, Dave is a little skeptical.

When he sees evidence of magic with his own eyes, though, he relucrantly becomes the sorcerer's apprentice.

Playing the master sorcerer Blake, Nicholas Cage make magic come alive with a touch of madness and humor.

However, the war against evil is deadly serious, and Dave will need all of his courage to save the city.

First, though, he will have to survive traning!
