In the town of Messina, the prince af Aragon has just returned with his good friends Claudio and Benedict from war.

They happily accept an invitation from one of the town's nobles to stay for a month.

The prince's jealous half-brother, Don John, is also there and is determined to cause trouble.

在墨西拿鎮，亞拉岡王子剛和他的好朋友克勞迪歐和班乃迪克從戰場上回來

The three friends run across a few farmiliar faces. Hero, the daughter of the nobleman,catches Claudio's eye.

The were sweethearts in the past, and their passion is soon reighited.

Benedict is not as happy to see Beatrice, Hero's cousin. The two argue constantly, much to the amisement of their friends.

" I will never marry! " claims Benedict.

The prince just laughs and says, " When you meet the right woman, you will change your tune. "

The prince's host throws an elaborate party, and all the guests must wear masks.

Claudio wants to woo Hero, but he is too shy.

Generously, the prince volunteers to win over Hero for his friend.

As the prince talks to Hero, Don John approaches Claudio.

" The prince has truly been charmed by Hero," Don John tells Claudio." I heard him swear his love for her."

Claudio is shocked. Has his friend betrayed him？
