A series of cat events eventually got the press's attention, and this little town became famous overnight.

Street cats were the tourist attractions, and the locals found renewed energy.

They set up small tourist businesses and more young people came back from the city to help.

However, the town was still struggling to handle the increasing flow of tourists.

Without proper management and protection, Houtong could suffer.

一系列的貓活動最終吸引了媒體的注意，這座小鎮一夕成名

街貓是觀光景點，當地居民找回復甦的活力

他們做起觀光客的小生意，更多的年輕人從都市回來幫忙

然而，這座小鎮仍在吃力地應付日漸增加的觀光人潮

沒有適當的管理和照顧的話，猴硐可能會蒙受損害

With the villagers's best interests at heart,

we volunteers posted general guidelines to educate people about respecting the community and environment.

In addition, I organized Houtong's elderly residents as tour guides.

They show visitors around, share their knowledge about their hometown, and help visitors keep the town orderly.

This job also gives them a sense of purpose.

我們志工們把村民的最大利益放在心中

於是張貼公約來教育人們尊重這個社區和環境

此外，我安排猴硐的年長居民擔任導遊

他們帶領觀光客到處看看，與人分享他們家鄉的事，並協助遊客保持小鎮的整潔

這份工作也給他們帶來成就感

The whole community of Houtong is participating in the town's rebirth, and it all started with their kindness toward the cats.

Stray cats are often seen as an annoyance that should be removed.

However, the people of Houtong have shown how valuable these independent felines can be when they are treasured.

I hope this success insoires more people to respect all forms of life.

By doing so, they will certainly find more happiness and fulfillment in life.

整個猴硐社區都在參與小鎮的新生，而這些都始於他們對貓的善心
